Do you have a membership using WooCommerce that you would like to integrate with Glow? This guide walks through (1) how to automatically add new members in WooCommerce to Glow so that they get access to your exclusive podcast and (2) how to automatically remove your members from Glow when they cancel in WooCommerce.
You'll need the following accounts:
- A Glow account with a published page
- A Zapier account with access to the Glow Premium app
- A WooCommerce account with a Zapier Account Installed.
Step 1: Automatically add a listener to Glow when they sign up in WooCommerce
1. In Wordpress, you'll need to install the WooCommerce Zapier Extension. Follow WooCommerce's directions to do so.
2. Back in Zapier, create a Zap, starting with a WooCommerce Trigger. In this step, you will pull the WooCommerce ID and Email from new members when they sign up in WooCommerce. The specific configuration of your WooCommerce Zapier Tigger will depend on how you've set up your WooCommerce program in Wordpress.
Follow WooCommerce's directions to set up your Trigger based on your account.
For help walking through your WooCommerce set-up to configure your Zap, schedule a call with Glow's Podcast Support team.
3. Create the next step in your Zap. Search for "Glow Premium (0.0.0)". If you cannot find Glow Premium (0.0.0), contact hello@glow.fm to get access. For Choose Action or Event select "Add Listener".
4. Authenticate your Glow account with your email and password.
5. In the Customize Listener step, populate the fields with the following information:
- For Listener Identifier, select "ID" from the drop-down that corresponds with the WooCommerce Trigger.
- For Email, drop-down select "Email" from the same drop-down.
- For Podcast, select the podcast that you've set up in Glow.
6. That's it! You can test this integration using your test user, then turn your Zap on.
Step 2: Automatically remove a listener from Glow when they cancel in WooCommerce
1. Similarly to adding new members, the configuration of your WooCommerce Zapier Tigger will depend on how you've set up your WooCommerce program in Wordpress. In this step, you will pull the WooCommerce ID and Email from new members when they cancel in WooCommerce.
Follow WooCommerce's directions to set up your Trigger based on your account.
2. Create the next step in your Zap. Search for "Glow Premium (0.0.0)". If you cannot find Glow Premium (0.0.0), contact hello@glow.fm to get access. For Choose Action or Event select "Remove Listener".
3. In the Customize Listener step, populate the fields with the following information:
- For Listener Identifier, select "ID" from the drop-down that corresponds with the WooCommerce Trigger.
- For Podcast, select the podcast that you've set up in Glow.
- For Email, select "Email" from the drop-down that corresponds with the WooCommerce Trigger.
4. That's it! You can test this integration using your test user, then turn your Zap on.
